Ohio's top 5 investment scams

When the stock market is as volatile as it is now, it can be easier for con artists to prey on unsuspecting investors.

The Ohio Department of Commerce is warning consumers to be aware of shady investments and has released its list of the top five scams being perpetrated against Ohio investors.

"Don't be fearful. Be knowledgeable," said David Goodman, director of the department. "There is no such thing as a no risk/high returns investment."
