City OKs $21M in improvements around casino

Cincinnati City Council has approved a development agreement to cover more than $21 million in road, sidewalk and other infrastructure improvements around the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati. The improvements will be funded by the city?s issuance of up to $28 million in bonds backed by property tax revenue from the casino, which is under construction and expected to open in 2013. A 124-page development contract calls for the city to pay for $16.8 million in improvements to Reading Road, Broadway, Gilbert avenues and Court Streets...
